Storm

Walked around Stuttgart today, enjoying the three-dimensionality of hills and valleys after so many weeks in Flatland.

[Updated] In the end, it all just blew over: lots of noise but no rain.

As flat as the proverbial pancake, I believe that there's a total change in altitude of eight metres within the city limits.

Oh, how I love a good storm, too. We've had over a solid week of them, but the lion's share have been between 2 and 3 am, when I'm not so much into watching them.

I love watching storms from our apartment. The lightning flashing through the skies is awesome. Although I'm overwhelmed by the amount of rain we've had lately.

No rain in the end?
I would have felt frustrated - the rain is liberating.

Yes, so did I. It was somehow a great disappointment.
