An amusing e-mail

I found this in my inbox this morning:

We gasped for breath. Stupefaction more than fear made us dumb and motionless. He found that the sea was pouring into the fifth compartment, and the rapidity of the influx proved that the force of the water was considerable. My limbs stiffened under the strain of violent cramp.

This sounds like the middle chapter of a NaNoWriMo entry, complete with authorial uncertainty ("we", "he" and "I" in adjacent sentences?). You will be as disappointed as I was, to learn that it was in fact just another ad for Viagra.

Examining the source code shows that the spam included an image called "erection.gif", which Mail had kindly declined to load. Thank you, clever software programmers at Apple.

p.s. Should anyone end up here, confused and disappointed, after searching Google for "stiffened" and "erection": I'm very sorry.
