A modest proposal

I know, I swore off politics after the election. But sometimes ya just gotta do what's right.

Blue-state people might achieve (further) enlightenment by reading this recent article from the Toronto Star.

Red-state people would probably neither get the joke, nor understand that it is in the end not a joke at all.

(To avoid unnecessary hotheadedness: I'm using "state" in the sense of "state of mind". I am aware that there are e.g. Texans who voted blue, and also e.g. Californians who voted red.)
