Second Love
Can one fall in love in three days? In the course of three short evenings, in fact?
This has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Calling SL a "game" does not make what happens there less real. These aren't just pixels, people do get hurt here.
A personality has left SL, has left my lives; and although we only knew each other a few hours, although I will see that avatar again today, I am crying as I write because it will be someone else standing there in that form. It's a strange situation, I know, hard to imagine unless you have been in SL and experienced it yourself.
I had thought that I'd be writing very different words than these when I came to tell you about it.
Let's see how long I leave this post up.

I'm so sorry. And yes, I think you can.
i think you can too. there are all kinds of love that happen in all kinds of ways. i always try to think that, even if it's painful, it's better to have had the experience and to grow and learn from it. there is so much love to be found in the world. maybe this is a sign, a nudge, a gentle kick in the pants to show you what you want and that you need to go and find it. there is a bright side to everything i guess.
a wise person often tells me: "nichts ist so schlecht dass es nicht wieder gut ist".
Thank you both.

Love is a verb. An ongoing process of shared experiences and feelings. We love, actively, over time.
Your feelings that this could readily grow into real, lifelong love, are entirely valid. Now that you know what an acorn looks like, you have a good chance to grow an oak.
Let this blow off the closed door of your heart, let the wind whistle through, ache for another try. The universe will sluice through the knotted shreds remaining, and catch more than you can now imagine.
Leave it for as long as it helps you. But if you take it down, let it not be bcs you think we'll judge you, or bcs you judge yourself too harshly. You are loved.

Thank you all very much. And Zhoen: you are a poet.
I think it is very possible. And I'm sorry as well. I wish I could be as poetic as zhoen.
We feel what we feel. Unfortunately, we often have little control over it.
i believe in love at first sight
3 evenings, 3 years, 3 lifetimes, it's all real and there is never enough time
love is timeless but the paradox is that even 3 lifetimes is not enough time
