Early
Packing (which principally means finding things in this mess and chaos) for a demonstration to a possible customer in the frozen north. They apparently want two client/server systems and require one last dose of convincing before placing the order. It would be very nice if this were true, the job would be worth a few thousand Euros.
But: why am I doing the demo when that is Georgette and Biff's job? A good question, and one that has been much on my mind in recent days. I infer that they know their presentation skills to be inadequate for the job, and rather than being embarrassed by this—or even attempting to improve said skills—they simply hand on the difficulty to me. "Udge will solve the problem, he's such a clever guy." Bah.
There may be trainbloggings to post when I return.

Are G & B getting paid to do this? Not make presentations, and to ship the incorrect CDs? Why?
Hope you make the sale.
Good luck, Udge!
Enjoy the train ride!
Joe: they are indeed being paid for shipping the only CD physically available and for not making presentations. I don't have time or desire to do this stuff myself.
May: thanks, the trip was actually quite enjoyable. I had time to take an art exhibition on Dieter Roth while I was there, and still got home before midnight.
