NaBloPoMo the first
Hello, good morning and welcome to the 2007 edition of NaBloPoMo, National Blog Posting Month as invented by the ineffable
Made it to bed before midnight yesterday—by the skin of my teeth, but a nod's as good as a wink to a blind man. Getting up was less successful: I ignored the alarm and slept until 9:50. Ah well, not bad for a first attempt.
Public holiday today, All Hallows, so the streets are quiet and most things of interest shut. The office is of course not shut, we will meet at 2:30 to discuss both competitions. Until then I shall drink coffee and do some translating.
Winter is very nearly here! There was frost overnight at the airport, but down here in the valley the temperature remained (barely) above zero. It'll probably be a long, hard—by German standards—winter, last year the first overnight frost in town came in February, if I remember correctly.
And because it's not all beer and skittles read this.
One down, twenty-nine to go.

When I was living in London there was a homeless guy who lived in a nest of sorts next to the fire station on King's Road. He'd often be entertaining all sorts of visitors and friends, and I'd wonder if he was actually the guy they named the street after.
Well, good work, so far you are at 100% posting level.
This is going to be an interesting month. Hopefully we can keep it up. At least I can't complain about not having anything to read anymore.
Yep, after the first not-quite-24-hours I'd say we are all doing very well indeed with our NaBloPoMoing.
I have not yet written a single word. You win.
Today.
I'm sure that my month of blogging will not total 50,000 words, no matter how hard I try. You'll overtake me soon enough :-)
