Friendship during wartime

Noorster has written a wonderful, happy-sad, heartwarming post about friendship, fear and the war. Pretty Boy is lucky to have such a friend, I would fairly swoon to be the subject of such a loving description (though not at the price of a war).

So yes, let us hope that the ceasefire will be respected by both sides, and that a peaceful future may come out of this bloody mess.

Further reading on the background, causes, future effects and Why The Politicians Still Haven't Figured It Out from Billmon (angry, bitter, worried) and Seymour Hirsch of the New Yorker (factual, analytical, worried).

The ceasefire will stick until Iran and Syria decide they don't need it any more.
