Autumn already?

It certainly feels that way. The day is seamlessly overcast, with that marvellous shadowless bright-ambient-glow effect that one gets from such light cloud cover; currently 14°C with a light breeze from the west, redolent of moisture and vegetation. Wonderful weather!

I detect a certain restlessness in myself: just spent some time online looking over the local-ish IKEA stores, thinking that this might be a good opportunity to go; having cancelled that, I then started thinking about walking the Blauer Weg again. This isn't unease as such, I'm not discontented at home (not more than usual, anyway); it's rather a frequent and well-known effect of the feels-like-Autumn mood: I want to be doing stuff, going places, starting something.

What shall I start? What would be sensible to start now, with only seventeen days before my flight to New York for the Ring? Better just stick to your chair, boyo, and get the database cleaned up and published.

Oh, but I will go for a walk first. [Updated two hours later] damn but it's cold! I need to have a walk right now, to get my blood circulating. Fortunately the sun is shining.
